Symptoms:

Excess TCC slip RPM & related codes
Harsh TCC apply & release
Low TCC release pressure
Rough idle in Reverse
Harsh downshifts
Flare shifts
Overheated converter

Cause:
The converter release regulator valve provides lube pressure regulation and contributes to the timing of the converter clutch apply/release action. Bore wear will cause converter clutch slippage and related codes and affect lockup clutch apply and release quality.

Correction:
Installing the Sonnax wear-resistant oversized valve restores circuit pressure regulation and control timing of the converter clutch apply/release action.
